At least they didn't shoot anyone. The APD has been taking a lot of heat lately because they've just been gunning down suspects. There is another one the news station reported on, where 2 cops were chasing somebody and some how 'accidently' hit each other head on. I'll see if I can find that picture also.

Family is drawing the line in the sand
by dissonance_resolved inso my family has obviously been noticing over the past several months that i've been missing meetings and fs.
i've had excuses sometimes, but not others, so my parents are definitely getting that this is more than a long bout of illnesses or fatigue.
i just received an email invitation to join them in service this weekend.

DO NOT ADMIT anything to them, they will start shunning you that instant, if they're like my family.
If you live here in the U.S.A, the weathermen are warning about the heatwave coming and since you got heat exhaustion last weekend you have to stay indoors under the air conditioning and take plenty of fluids.
Or, One of your out-of-town friends [don't name any names] just caught their spouse cheating on them and is really down & depressed and you have to go visit them.
If you live in the other hemisphere adapt the excuse to the winter

They're hopelessy lost without us! Sorry to hear about your difficulties Newday22. Breathe. I just heard on the news that the job outlook is better for women than for men. See, even employers know who is gonna get the real work done.
Can I join in, in the venting?
Hubby left for a 10 day camping rendezvous/trade show and forgot to take the winter cover & insulation off of our evaporative cooler and its 100 degrees. I can't find the special socket to take the screw out to do it myself. I'm dying! He has no cell service so I can't call him to ask where he put the damn tool.
On the same day, 2 weeks ago we lost both of the timing belts in BOTH of our vehicles and ruined both engines. And don't make enough $$$ to go get another one. So, I'm stranded here at home.
Ok, I think I'm done.

If you notice those verses in Luke, it's the evil slave that says 'My master is delaying' so that slave has an issue with time and thinks the master is delaying when the master never really said when he was coming back. In fact, it mentions that he comes back at time when the slave is not expecting him. And the slave has started to beat his fellow slaves and get drunk.
Just my thoughts.

Here's an article about the incident questioning if the 'cult' of JW's had anything to do with it.

What about your vow to Jehovah?
by a watcher indid you get baptized without being dedicated?.
why did you allow men to come between you and jehovah?.
why were you serving jehovah at all?

A watcher is judging everyone on here, when he has no idea what most of our beliefs or faith in God is about.

First of all, I was baptized a JW in 1979 @ 16 and dedicated my life to Almighty God, his son Jesus & the Holy Spirit thru God's word the bible and NOT to men in Brooklyn! It is because of THAT vow that i had to leave the WTBT$. I follow God as ruler rather than MEN!
Even WT admits the name 'Jehovah' is invented so how can the TRUE God be named Jehovah?
A watcher: Check this out: WT 1980 2/1 pg 11-13
The
DivineNameinLaterTimes
THAT the divine name was used in early history is beyond question. But what about later times? Why have certain Bible translations omitted the name? And what is its meaning and significance to us?
THE
NAME“JEHOVAH”BECOMESWIDELYKNOWN
Interestingly, Raymundus Martini, a Spanish monk of the Dominican order, first rendered the divine name as “Jehova.” This form appeared in his book PugeoFidei, published in 1270 C.E.—over 700 years ago.
In time, as reform movements developed both inside and outside the Catholic Church, the Bible was made available to the people in general, and the name “Jehovah” became more widely known. In 1611 C.E. the King James or Authorized Version of the Bible was published. It uses the name Jehovah four times. (Ex. 6:3; Ps. 83:18; Isa. 12:2; 26:4) Since then, the Bible has been translated many, many times. Some translations follow the example of the AuthorizedVersion and include the divine name only a few times.
In this category is AnAmericanTranslation (by Smith and Goodspeed) with a slight variation of using “Yahweh” instead of “Jehovah.” Yet, one may ask: “Why have the translators done this? If using ‘Jehovah’ or ‘Yahweh’ is wrong, why put it in at all? If right, why not be consistent and use it every time it appears in the Bible text?”

WT should learn from this- "The importance of Mistakes"
by Gojira_101 ini was interpreting a class the other day and the instructor brought in a dvd of john cleese (guy from monty python) giving a speech on "the importance of mistakes" here is the link to an excerpt from his speech http://my.ilstu.edu/~eostewa/art309/mistakes.htm.
i did a quick search to see if i could find the full speech or the video online and i wasn't able to.. basically cleese was saying all people make mistakes, but his main point was it's how we handle the mistakes.
if we admit our mistakes we can then deal with it, handle it and move on.

Great topic Sweetie. Yep, he's absolutely right. It's too late for WTBT$ tho, they're in up to their eyeballs.
